This is the showdown we’ve been preparing for.

Friends,

The Hill just reported what we’ve known since January: Kamala Harris is preparing to run for governor of California.

Her team filed paperwork months ago. They’ve already bought up the domains.

So let’s drop the charade, this isn’t speculation. It’s choreography.

And it’s exactly the kind of political theater Butch Ware is running to dismantle.

Because if Kamala Harris jumps in, it doesn’t change a damn thing for us. In fact, it might just make our contrast clearer.

Harris is another example in a long line of California corporate Democrats who built a career on soundbites and state violence.

Ask Californians what they remember about Kamala Harris’s time in office, and you won’t hear stories about housing justice, worker power, or standing up to the rich.

You’ll hear about the families who lost their homes while she let Steve Mnuchin’s predatory bank off the hook. You’ll hear about parents of truant kids dragged into court, fined, or jailed just for trying to survive.

And that’s just a start. And now she wants back in to lead the state?

Where was she when Los Angeles burned, did she do more than just drop in for a photo op as Vice President?

Where is she now, while ICE tears families apart across California, and communities live in fear under the very same policies she once defended as Vice President?

Look, California has been through enough. We’ve survived fires, blackouts, evictions, and now many Californians are waking up to the same truth:

The Democratic Party and its old guard of leadership are not strong enough to stop Trump’s authoritarian regime.

But California, united under a real working-class champion like Butch Ware, can be.

We don’t need another political brand. We need a rupture. A reckoning. A realignment rooted in working-class power. That’s what Butch Ware’s campaign is about.

He’s not running to win back Sacramento cocktail parties. He’s running to win back the dignity stolen from working people—from union nurses to undocumented tenants to youth locked up for being poor.

Solidarity,
